What-is-an-Owner's-Representative

What is an Owner’s Representative?

Short Answer - An Owner’s Rep is essentially a third-party advocate hired by the project owner to oversee the planning, design, and construction processes. The Owner’s Rep acts as the owner's proxy, ensuring the project stays on track and aligns with the owner's goals. This approach is often used in the traditional project delivery model, where the owner contracts separately with designers (architects) and builders (contractors).
